Biography of Smriti Mishra
Smriti Mishra, who is currently studying law in Delhi, called her father to share some exciting news. She informed him that she has achieved the fourth rank in the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) exams, which is a prestigious government examination in India.
Smriti is the daughter of DSP Rajkumar Mishra, who is posted in Bareilly and originally hails from Prayagraj. This was Smriti’s second attempt at the UPSC exams, and she successfully secured a high rank.
Family Background of Smriti Mishra
Rajkumar Mishra, Smriti’s father, is a police officer currently serving as CO-Second in Bareilly. He started his career as a sub-inspector in the UP Police back in 1989 and has held various positions such as SO (Station Officer) and Inspector in different districts of Uttar Pradesh. Over the years, he received promotions and became an Inspector in 2013, and later a DSP in 2021.
Rajkumar Mishra’s son, Lokesh Mishra, practices law in the Delhi High Court and Supreme Court. Smriti’s ambition to become an IAS (Indian Administrative Service) officer is supported by her family.

Educational Background of Smriti Mishra
In terms of Smriti’s educational background, she completed her schooling in the 12th grade in Agra. She then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Delhi before enrolling in law studies in the same city. Throughout her preparation for the UPSC exams, Smriti dedicated seven to eight hours each day to studying. She would take notes regularly to consolidate her learning.
When Smriti received her result and learned that she had secured the fourth rank, she immediately called her father to share the exciting news. Rajkumar Mishra remained composed upon hearing the announcement. Smriti also called her mother, Anita, to share the joyous achievement. Smriti had expressed her aspiration to become an IAS officer since her 10th grade, and her hard work and determination have paid off.
The remarkable achievement of Smriti has brought immense pride to her family, and they have received congratulatory calls from several police officers, including SSP Prabhakar Chowdhary, SP Dehat Rajkumar Aggarwal, SP City Rahul Bhati, and other COs (Circle Officers).
